Faith is a law in the sense that electricity has laws, and there are also laws of aerodynamics.  If you operate within the laws of electricity or aerodynamics, it is safe, performs well and is dependable. However if you break those laws, it can kill you.

Likewise, if you operate within the law of faith, it too, will be safe, perform for you, and will be something to depend on.

Rom. 3: 23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,
24: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
(most people stop right here – but lets read on…)
25: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God
26: To declares I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus,
27: Where is boasting then? It is excluded, By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

There are other laws like this, for instance, the law of the Spirit of life and the law of sin and death.

Rom. 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit,
2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

A11 of mankind has faith.

Romans 12:3: For l say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

And this faith is his!  It belongs to him!  He has the free will to place it in, and exercise it on, whatever he wants.  In fact, man is a creature of faith. That is to say that he was created to live by faith. Man is driven by something in him to place his faith, (like an anchor), in something or someone – in the desire to feel safe, sound and whole.

It really becomes a matter of just what his faith is in, as to what result will come of it.  For example his faith may be in his education, his money, his strength, his doctor, his lawyer, his preacher, and on and on.

In this sense, fear and doubt are faith,

“Now wait a minute!” you say.  Yes, fear and doubt, is faith.  Faith in what the devil tells you! (it is anti-faith, sort of like, anti-matter.)  Actually, fear is the devils counterfeit of faith.  (And the two cannot coexist!)

Electricity, can do both good, (providing power for lights, refrigeration, etc…), and do harm, (cook you like boiled chicken!).  So, faith also can do both good and harm. In Gods Word, good faith is just called faith, while the harmful faith is called doubt, fear and unbelief; just to name a few.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

If faith comes by hearing the Word of God, does it not make sense that hearing the Word of the devil, (in its’ many, many forms), will cause fear and doubt (anti-faith), to come? In the world today we are constantly bombarded by the sound of the devils words, through the media, through other people, etc…

 Now, when I say words of the devil, in the context of this study, I mean words that cause you to place your faith in anything but God.

If we hear a thousand words of the devil, during the day, how do we combat it?

First of all, do not listen to it, (Get your mind off of yourself.  Bridle your thoughts!)

2 Cor. 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Second, do not act on the devils words. (Remember: Sin, is death, in any form it may take.) Resist the devil, and he will flee! Learn how to USE the shield of faith!

And third, immerse, dip, baptize yourself in the Words of God.  Hear them! Read them out loud! Listen to tapes of the Word, and music praising God.  If you fill your self up with the Word of God, you will ‘flush out’ the word of the devil.

Remember, the “temptation of Jesus”? “It is written …” This was (literally), a war of words!  He was teaching you, how to use the sword of the Spirit of the Word of God, (Eph. 6:17)!

Coming home and reading one faith scripture after a day filled with words of the devil, is like fighting a raging inferno with a water pistol.  It just is not going to produce much of a result.  Immerse yourself in the Word of God every day!

The Word of God is like the manna that God gave to feed Israel.  It would not keep from day to day, but had to be gathered fresh each day.

 The KEY to faith is in Mark 11, verses, 22, 23 and 24

Mark 11:22: And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God,
23: For verily l say unto you, (Jesus is saying: This is the truth! 1 promise you!), That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, (Your mountain may be a problem, sickness, disease, etc.), Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAYS shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever(Anything, in line, with the Word of God), he SAYS.
24: therefore 1 say unto you, what things so-ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, (Prior to their manifestation), and ye shall have them.

You have to SPEAK His Words concerning healing, You are SPEAKING them to:

1. Confess, (affirm), to God;

2. Proclaim to the devil; and

3. Confirm to yourself;

that you BELIEVE, what you are saying.

James 2:17: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

You must ACT on your faith for it to be released and produce anything! The withered hand had to be stretched out before it was made whole. You need to DO something that you could not previously do.   And. faith has nothing to do with how you live your life.  You could live a ‘Mother Teresa’ holy life and not release the faith to be healed.  On the other hand you could be the worst of sinners, repent, accept Jesus, and be healed.  Your faith has to be based, on the written Word of God, whether it be for healing or anything else! TGM
