Have You Rejected Knowledge?

If you are a typical person you may have family, friends, acquaintances or associates that you talk to on a regular basis. Let's get real here, these topics come up almost on a daily basis when talking back and forth to others.There has been one thing in particular that has been getting to me for sometime now. Most people are seeking help; a way out of their particular problem, but the moment you mention that God has a way out for them to conquer this problem they hem and haw or their eyes begin to glaze over, and they quickly change the subject or "must move along now."Now I can understand it when the person may not be a Christian, but what in the world is happening to the church, meaning us, God's kids?I remember as if it were yesterday when Tim was so sick and very near death; the doctors could do no more and sent him home to die. So we did what many people are doing today, looking for some-thing that can fix the mess they are in! We searched everywhere and everything. Yet, God brought us right back to His Word - His instruction manual - the Bible.Now yes, it was our choice and continues to be our daily choice to choose God's way or follow the way of the world, friends, or even what the government has to offer.People rush to get the latest advice from the top celebrities, and when that doesn't completely help, they are right back where they started, right in the middle of the problem.Hosea 4:6 tells us that "My people per-ish for lack of knowledge, for THEY have REJECTED knowledge." (My emphasis.)When you bought a new bicycle and attempted to put it together correctly did you just pick up a piece and think, well, it looks like it fits here OK. NO! Your goal is to have a bike that is safe to ride, so you picked up the instruction manual and took the time to read it, so you can get on the bike and have a great and safe ride.The same process is true in life. God is our Creator. He made the whole world. He set up the spiritual and physical laws.Why do so many belittle what God has done for them? Why is it too much to think that the Word of God is true and that the Word of God works? I mean it works ALL of the time!Of course the devil is behind this deception, he comes to blind the world so we won't fully live in the blessings God has given us. Yes, God wants you blessed, everyday of your life!But we do not have to listen to and receive the lies of the devil. Why listen to the "father of all lies"?Doesn't make sense, does it?Jesus IS the way, the truth and the life. He has come to give you and me an abundant life, while the devil is doing the complete opposite, he comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).When you desire to live in God's system, which is Kingdom of God living, then you will see positive results and success in your life. If you truly desire to succeed in life, then now is the time to stop rejecting His knowledge, trust Him and start putting His ways to work in your daily life.The first step is living in love; which includes loving the Lord your God and your neighbor. No hatred, no gossiping, no backbiting, no unforgiveness. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. You heard of this saying "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."People get confused about faith and how to use it, so the second step is learning what true, Bible faith is. Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.The first three newsletters of 2011 have been about hope. Reread them, study about hope - right from the pages of your Bible. Hope is important. When Tim was sent home to die - we had no hope left! Get back some hope in your life. Faith will cling to your hope and move you forward to receive.Do you see the words "the evidence of things NOT SEEN" (emphasis mine) in Hebrews 11:1? This is where far too many people lose faith - they want - no, they EXPECT to SEE what they are ask-ing and praying for before they receive it. But if you see something, why do you need faith to receive it? Just grab it and go! You see and receive not from physical sight, but by spiritual sight, right from your heart. This is very important to learn - this lack of understanding can be a huge obstacle for many.God's Word is truth! Jesus told us over and over in the Bible that when we ask anything in His name - to BELIEVE WE HAVE RECEIVED IT! Mark 11:24 "when you pray believe you HAVE RECEIVED what you asked for in prayer and you WILL HAVE what you asked for."This is the KEY to receiving! Well, you may ask, "how can I know God will give it to me?"I John 5:14-15 - This is the confidence (or bold-ness we have to come to Him) when we ask anything according to His will, we know that He hears us and that we have what we asked for in prayer.Your loving Father has stated very clearly in His Word what His will is. The apostle Paul said He took time to write to you the WHOLE WILL of God.It is now up to each of us to learn God's will for us in His Word. Look up the scriptures in the Bible that have the word "will" in them. Allow God to talk to you and teach you, believe the Word and then do what it says to do.I want to make it clear to you that you WILL have to give up, or just let go of many of your old ways of thinking. This is called "renewing the mind." Throw out the old ways that do not work and put in God the Creators way that works - all the time.You will have to get rid of doubt and fear be-cause they will steal and destroy your faith. James 1:5 tells us that if you doubt, don't think that you will receive from God. Why? It is opposite of His way of living - by faith.How do you get rid of the strongholds of doubt and fear? Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. You speak to that stronghold, that spirit of doubt and fear and command it to leave you in the name of Jesus. Your faith in God will rise to new heights and take off -and what an adventure you will have!Proverbs 4:20-22 - My words are life and health (or medicine) to your whole body, includ-ing your mind, will and emotions. If you don't take the medicine - you can't get better. "Well, I'll just look at the bottle or read the Bible but not take what's inside"(acting on the Word). Then be prepared to stay the same way you are now!Joshua 1:8 Speak and meditate on the Word. Why? So you will do what it says and then YOU SHALL MAKE your way prosperous and then you will have success.Faith without actions is dead. You must "act" on your faith. A big hindrance to receiving is our own mouths - what WE SAY. If you are believing for healing in your body, you research God's Word about healing. You learn that it IS His will for you to be well. Jesus went about healing and doing good. He would not do anything opposite of God's will.Mark 11:23 - you speak to the sickness and command it to leave your body in the name of Jesus. This is actually taking part of the armor of God and using the Sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6).Well, Marcia, I just feel plain silly speaking to my body - what if someone hears me? They may think "I've lost it." Do you want healing or not? Maybe someone will hear you and you will be able to help them receive something they need in their life. Sure, they may look at you funny, they may talk and laugh about you behind your back, or maybe even to your face, but one day you may just see them approach you asking for your help and thanking you.Do not speak the things that are. Such as: "I have cancer, diabetes, skin rash" etc. If you are a born again, child of God, sickness has no legal right to be on your body. Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of the law (Gal. 3:13), (Duet. 28:15-61) ALL things are covered: sickness, lack, poverty etc.Prov. 3: 5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall lift you up. Put your faith in Him alone.People are being battered left and right all around us, living with sickness, financial problems, marriage problems, and people are lost, dying and heading right into the waiting arms of the devil.Psalm 103:3 All the diseases that attack you must go! Your benefits package promises healing of all diseases. Oh, by the way - God does not have to rewrite His benefits package to fit the economy of the present day and time! He does not change.You and I do not have to be ignorant of God's Word any longer! This is the time to press into His Word; His way of living. He tells us that "I know the plans I have to prosper you and give you a long life."While the world's economy, religious system and even governments may be in the dark and failing, you and I have the choice to live our lives God's way so we can be the light that is shinning for them to come to.PLEASE - If you are one that hears God's Word on how to get free of the problems that are plaguing you and just roll your eyes, or wish that person would shut up and turn away and change the subject - PLEASE do not be that way any longer.God wants to lavish His blessing, His very best on you. Jesus paid for your forgiveness of sin, paid for your healing, paid for your salvation, paid for you to live a good life - a life of victory!Why not take a moment now and lift up your Shield of Faith (Eph. 6:16) and praise and thank God for all He has given you, repent of rejecting His knowledge in the past and just receive all He has given you.When we learn to live and operate in God's system, we will never reject His knowledge again![/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
