The foundations of individuals, in this present world, are and have been crumbling. So, we need to make sure, especially as a New Year begins, that our own foundation is solidly built on Jesus Christ. And, it is time to help others build or rebuild their foundation on the only foundation that will never move.
Faith, Good Faith, is breaking down as never before in our country and others around us. We need to make sure that we are people of our word, as God is concerning His Word. We need to cling to the truth of the Bible and follow God as never before.
So many people have been betrayed by someone and their very foundation, their trust they had built around some other person collapsed. No other person besides God should be our source for anything. We need to look to Him to provide all things!
It seems like our very own government is trying to destroy the foundation our founding fathers laid in the building of the United States of America.
Luke 6:46-50 (Paraphrased) says: If Jesus is our Lord, then we should DO what He says. Whoever hears the Word of God and comes to Jesus, making him Lord of your life is like a person who built his house, by digging deep and building on a solid foundation, THE ROCK, Jesus HIMSELF. So when the rains, floods and wind came – every problem imaginable – the house stood.
But – those who heard but DID NOT DO what the Word said – their houses without foundations slid out right from under them when those same floods – problems hit. AND they hit hard!
Satan is pulling out all of his tools of destruction – trying to destroy any faith, any trust, and any belief – because he knows that his time is short here on earth before the return of Jesus Christ.
This is NOT the time to follow our favorite celebrity movie star, rock star, sport star or preacher. This is the time to stay steady on the very TRUTH – the Word of God Himself. For He will never change.
Paul, in I Corinthians 3:4-13 (paraphrased) says: Do not put me or Apollos above God; we are just ministers who give the Word. I may have planted the seed of the Word in your life, Apollos watered – but it is God who gives the increase. We are laborers together. Give God all the glory. I Paul, have laid the foundation, But let every one of you take heed how you build upon that foundation. For no better foundation can man lay than that is laid, which is Christ Jesus. Every ones work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
Hebrews 11 is the faith chapter. The Elders that came before us lived by faith. We MUST do the same.
So, please take some time to check YOUR foundation. Check that it is unmovable and that it is built on Jesus, the Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
